Sale or Return (SOR) – Terms & Conditions
What is Sale or Return?Our Sale or Return (SOR) service allows you to sell your vehicle through First Buy Motors, while still retaining ownership until the vehicle is sold. We handle the full process on your behalf — from marketing to final sale.

- You are the legal owner of the vehicle
- The vehicle is free from finance or outstanding liabilities
- All information provided (mileage, history, condition) is accurate
- Any faults or issues have been fully disclosed
Our ServiceWe will:
- Advertise your vehicle professionally across major platforms
- Handle all enquiries, viewings, and negotiations
- Manage the full sales process from start to finish
- Work to achieve the best possible market price
Agreed Price & PaymentA guaranteed minimum payout price will be agreed with you
- Once sold, payment is made within 1–3 working days
- Any amount achieved above the agreed price is retained by the dealership
Vehicle Handling
- The vehicle may remain with you or be stored at our premises
- Mileage may increase slightly due to test drives or inspections
Vehicle ReservationsTo maximise your chances of sale:
- Vehicles may be reserved for up to 14 days for committed buyers
- During this time, the vehicle is temporarily held
Please note: We are unable to release or withdraw a vehicle during an active reservation, as this forms part of an ongoing sales process.

- We will always aim to assist as quickly as possible
- However, if the vehicle is:

- Under negotiation
- Booked for viewings
We may require up to 30 additional days to complete ongoing sales activity before returning the vehicleThis ensures fairness to both buyers and the sales process.
